Condolence From: Kathy Kittell
Condolence: My sincere sympathy to Karen's family and friends. Karen and I graduated together in 1975. She was always upbeat, smart, smiling and classy. One could always feel welcome in her presence. May you find peace each day with the knowledge that Karen touched so many in a positive way.

Condolence: I remember Karen from school and from growing up in one of the most special places in this world. The pretty picture and lovely smile remind me of the Karen I knew. I am sorry she is gone and that breast cancer took her from her family, as it did my girlfriend in 2010. Despite spending billions of dollars, the reality is we've really made pitiful progress in ending this disease. In Karen's memory and the memory of all this disease has taken from us, let''s resolve ourselves to ending breast cancer. The answer is out there and it's time we put the focus on curing breast cancer and saving lives rather than making pharmaceutical companies successful. Our goal is to end this disease and I hope more people will push for real cures rather than the tragic failure we've seen. Karen, rest in peace while we continue your battle and achieve the ultimate victory over breast cancer.

Condolence: My deepest sympathies to Margaret, Kristina, Nicholas, Michael and the light of her life, Nico. Karen was loved by so many people for her beautiful heart and spirit. She was a courageous woman who treasured her family and friends and left everyone she met feeling happier for knowing her. This world is a better place for the light this beautiful woman shined upon it. I will miss our late night chats and especially your laughter. My prayers are with her family and friends that God will strengthen them as they go through the next few days. God bless you all. Anita Cordeiro Boca Raton, FL
