Ralph J.  Sterusky
TOWN OF MANHEIM-Mr. Ralph J. Sterusky, 69 of Davis Rd., Little Falls, (town of Manheim) passed away on Tuesday afternoon, July 22, 2008 in Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown. He was born on August 18, 1938 in Little Falls, son of the late Samuel and Frances (Petkovsek) Sterusky and graduated from St. Mary's Academy, "Class of 1956". On December 27, 1985 he was joined in marriage with Sally "Sarah" Hadcock in the New Hope Christian Church, Dolgeville, a union of 22 years. He was formerly married to Irene Lyon Diedrichs. For many years Ralph was the co-owner and operator of Manor Farms in Manheim and was the owner and operator of Windmill Diamond Mine, Little Falls. He attended the First Baptist Church, Little Falls. Mr. Sterusky took great pride in being a member of the Manheim Champions 4H Club when he was growing up. He was an active member with the town of Manheim where he at one time served on the Town of Manheim Planning Board, a position he took seriously. Ralph was a "jack of all trades". He enjoyed repairing clocks and for that matter anything that needed fixing and loved using the quote "It it ain't broke, don't fix it". Mr. Sterusky enjoyed watching the New York Yankees and recently attended one of their games. Survivors include his beloved family; his wife Sally "Sarah"; three sons: David Sterusky of Dolgeville, Christopher Sterusky and wife Brenda of Radcliff, Kentucky, Ralph B. Sterusky of Little Falls, Perry Siver and wife Darlene of Norway, NY, and Andrew Siver of Eliot, Maine; three daughters: Lora Rehm and husband Paul of Cary, NC, Paula Cramer of Grand Island, NY and Melanie Staring and husband Larry of Stratford; a sister: Frances Oertel of Palatine Bridge; two brothers: Samuel Sterusky and Wendy of Little Falls and Frank Sterusky also of Little Falls; fifteen cherished grandchildren and 6 adored great grandchildren; three aunts: Katherine Robbins, Lucille Sterusky and Helen Dineen; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother Jimmy Sterusky; by a sister: Genevieve Sterusky; by a daughter in law: Vicky Sterusky and by a granddaughter: Amanda Sterusky. Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours at the Enea Family Funeral Home (Little Falls) on Thursday (today), July 24, 2008 from 4-8 p.m. Mr. Sterusky's funeral will commence at 10 am on Friday, July 25, 2008 from the First Baptist Church, Albany Street, Little Falls with the Church Pastoral Staff officiating. Funeral procession will follow to Salisbury Rural Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest.
