Robin Zierau-Cooper passed away of natural causes in her Stillwater home on January 18, 2009 after a 23 year battle with a recurrent brain tumor. A service celebrating her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 23, 2009 at the Chapel of the Golden Oaks Village, 5505 W. 19th Ave., Stillwater.
Robin was born in Patterson, NJ on June 24, 1953. She graduated from Council Rock High School in Bucks County PA and earned a B.A. from Clark University in Worcester MA with majors in Art History and Studio Art. She studied for a year in Rome, Italy and earned a Masters degree in Art History from Tufts University in Somerville MA. Robin loved art and music, gardening and camping and exploring nature. She touched everyone she met with her humor, creativity, helpfulness, determination and independence. She and her infectious smile will be missed dearly by those lucky enough to have had her as part of their lives.
She is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Jim Cooper; parents, Lillee and Harold Zierau; brother and sister-in-law, Roger Zierau and Heidi Hoffer; and her dog Bertha and cat Siva.
