Perry Silvers, 78, of Upperco died on November 23, 2012 at his residence. Born on August 5, 1934 in Penland, NC to the late Dallas and Rossie Carpenter Silvers. He was married to Bonnie Silvers.
He owned and operated a logging business for 45 years. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, NASCAR, football, collecting antiques and spending time with his family.
He is survived by in addition to his wife by son Steven Silvers and his companion Martha Mullinix of Upperco, daughter Stephanie Silvers of Upperco and Perry Christopher Silvers and his wife Amber; grandchild Audrey Silvers; siblings Bessie Smith of Spruce Pine, NC, Wilma McMahon of Spruce Pine, NC, Frances and Bill Pruitt of Morganton, NC, Louise and Bobby Bishop of Burnsville, NC, Louis Dallas Silvers of Penland, NC Charles Silvers of Penland, NC. Predeceased by siblings Grace Biddix, Jenny King, Maude Silvers, Roy Silvers and Paul Silvers.
Family will receive friends at the Eline Funeral Home, 934 South Main Street, Hampstead, MD 21074 on Tuesday 3-5 & 7-9pm. Services will be on Wednesday 11am at the funeral Home. Interment will be in Emory Church Cemetery, Upperco. Arrangements by Eline Funeral Home, Reisterstown.
