Leonard William Kekona Sr., 81, of Wailuku, passed away on March 11, 2013 at Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born in Wailuku on May 14, 1932.
Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Ballard Family Mortuary, service at 7 p.m., with cremation to follow.
Leonard was a Truck Driver for Hookano Paving Company. He also worked for Pappillion Helicopters as a Bus Driver and was a long time Maui Entertainer.
He is survived by his sons, Leonard “Boy” (Sonia) Kekona Jr., Fleming “Flash” (Dana) Kekona, Johnathan (Rose) Kaonohi, Zacchary (Cheyenne) Kekona; hanai-sons, Cyrus (Tina) Koko, Tommy (Noe) Akima, Domingo Caluag, and Abel Kepani; daughter, Miriam (David) Hewahewa; god-daughters, Scarlett Vinge, Dawn Hoewaa, Charlene Kaaa, and Paula Kualaau; brother, Anthony Kekona; 36 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Leonard was predeceased by his wife, Miriam Kekona; sons, Lloyd and Curtis Kekona.
