Obituary for Marguerite Elizabeth Johnson (Hartmann)

Marguerite Elizabeth  Johnson (Hartmann)
Marguerite Elizabeth Johnson (nee Hartmann), 77, passed away peacefully on Friday, 22 March 2013. Born in Trenton New Jersey, Marguerite attended Cathedral High School in Trenton. She was a devoted Catholic and an avid Bingo player. Family always came first and her greatest joy in life was spending time with and caring for her family.

The daughter of the late George J. Sr. and Rose A. Hartmann (nee Rose A. Varley), she is predeceased by her brothers Raymond and George J. Jr. Hartmann, She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Peterson and husband John, daughter Deborah Pley and husband Michael, son William W. Johnson III and wife Angela, and son Robert W. Johnson and wife Kristie. Grandchildren Shanna Dodd and husband Alan, Rebecca Kirby and husband Timothy, and Edward Peterson; Heather and Logan Johnson; Mikayla, Breanna and Mackenzie Johnson. Great Grandchildren Megan and Andrew Dodd. Her sisters and brothers-in-law, Rose Marie and Joseph Lynch, Patsy and Jerry Heupel, her brother, William Hartmann, her sister-in-law, Ann Marie Hartmann, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, 27 March at 10:00am at St. Mary’s Church located at 45 Crosswicks St. Bordentown NJ. Interment will immediately follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Bordentown NJ. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, 26 March from 4:00 – 8:00 pm and on Wednesday morning from 8:30 -9:30 am at the Bordentown Home for Funerals, 40 Crosswicks St. Bordentown.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marguerite’s memory to the Monastery of Saint Clare 150 White Pine Road Chesterfield, NJ 08515, 609-324-2638 poorclaresnewjersey.com.
