Eikens, Matilda
Passed away on July 8, 2013 at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville at the age of 48. Raised in Orono. Worked and lived in Toronto as a legal assistant for over 20 years. Member of the North Toronto Ski Club and an avid animal lover. Daughter of Sien Eikens and Henry Eikens (predeceased). Sister of Henry Eikens Jr (Christina), John Eikens (Colleen) and Cindy Eikens-Stafford (Randy). Aunt to Joshua, Hayley, Sevannah, Larissa and Phelan. Will also be missed by other relatives and friends. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 214 King Ave E, Newcastle, on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 11am. In lieu of a visitation a reception will follow the mass in the church hall. If so desired, donations may be made to Sick Kids Hospital – Orthopedic Ward, your local humane society or St. Michael’s Hospital – General Surgery Ward.
