SHELL, Mrs. Betty Ruth Ferrell, age 80 of Franklin, TN, August 10, 2013. Graduated from high school in 1950 from Glynn Academy and attended Perry Business School both located in Brunswick, GA. She was the first employee of the Williamson County Mental Health Center. Former trustee with First Baptist Church. Retired in 1990 from Tennessee Baptist Convention. Preceded in death by aunt, Elizabeth Ferrell Eberhardt; uncle Thomas Patton Eberhardt. She was raised by her grandmother Clifford Ferrell until her death and then by the Eberhardts. Survived by: husband, James V. “Jim” Shell; daughters, Tarenda (Tony) Vaughn & Lisa Shell; grandchildren, Jared (Sara Grace) Vaughn, Jayme (Austin) Smith, Emily (Chase) Gamble & James Binzen; great grandchildren, Jacob & Mary-Harris Vaughn; sisters, Sharon Bearden & Patsy Anderson. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 13, 2013, Dave Bradley & Ed Alexander officiating. Interment Williamson Memorial Gardens. Family & friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Sonshine Sunday School Class. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
