On the morning of September 17, 2014 Randy M. Mize passed peacefully to meet with his savior. He was born to Kenneth W. Mize and Janice M.(Smith) Mize on March 6, 1960, in Kaufman Texas.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Kenneth W. Mize and Janice M. Mize- Helmcamp.

He is survived by his stepmother Rita Mize of Moffat, ex wife Colleen Forrester of Austin, sister La Donna Peterson and husband Donnie of Jarrell, brother Jimmy Mize and wife Joy of Marble Falls, brother Danny Mize and wife Christine of Pflugerville, stepsister Patricia Meacham and husband Randy of Temple, stepbrother Buddy Veazey of Temple, stepsister Rita Lee Burns and husband Mark of Allen, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Randy was an avid fisherman, enjoyed spending time camping and socializing with family and friends.

He was employed many years with Kens Road Service of Temple and most recent with Peterson Carpentry Inc., of Jarrell.

Was a longtime resident of Moffat and spent the last year of life in Jarrell.

It was a long hard battle, but he was strong, determined, and faced his illness with grace and poise.

The family wants to express a great appreciation to Hospice Austin and the Christopher House staff for all the love concern, and dignity they gave Randy during this trying time.

Graveside services are with Hewett - Arney Funeral Home in Temple Texas on Thursday September 19, 2013 at 9:30 am in the Moffat Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Randy's name be made to Hospice Austin or the Christopher House in Austin Texas.
