Obituary for Jason Glen Fordham

Jason Glen Fordham, age 39, of Rome, Georgia died September 24, 2013 at his residence.

Jason was born April 2, 1974 in Carrollton, Georgia to William Lee Fordham and Glenda Eueline Johnston (Fordham) Warren.

Jason attended Bowdon High School in Bowdon, Georgia. He continued his education at Shorter College (University) in Rome, Georgia, pursuing a degree in Music (Vocal Performance) and English. Jason enjoyed reading, traveling, acting, directing and producing live theatre productions and was actively involved in the Rome Little Theatre since 1993. Jason was a member of the Board of Directors of Rome Little Theatre and served as President of the RLT Board from 2009-2011. Jason also served on the Board of Directors of the Historic DeSoto Theatre Foundation. Jason was co-owner of Icon Theatre Company. Jason was preceded in death by his mother, Glenda Eueline Johnston (Fordham) Warren.

Jason is survived by his father, William Lee Fordham and step-mother, Julia Rish Fordham; brother, William Kiley Fordham; sister-in-law, April Dawn (Drummond) Fordham; niece Emma Grace Fordham; nephew, William Jack John Fordham; uncles, Jimmy Fordham and Danny Todd; aunts, Erlene Fordham and Martha Todd; cousins, Steven Fordham, Tim Fordham, Shea Todd, Marcie (Todd) and their families.

A memorial service will be held at the Historic DeSoto Theatre on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. with interment at 4:00 P.M. at the Cave Spring Cemetery, Cave Spring Road Southwest.

There will be a reception of family and friends at the Heritage Chapel of Miller and Richards Funeral Home on Friday, September 27, 2013 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, Jason asked that donations be made to any of the following charities: The Humane Society of Rome/Floyd County, Rome Little Theatre or The Historic DeSoto Theatre Foundation.
