Obituary for Hugh Admiral Finley

Funeral services for Hugh A. Finley, 80 of Athens are scheduled for 2:00 P M Thursday at Eastern Hills Church of Christ with Mr. David Mahan officiating.
Burial will follow at 4:30 P M in Danville Cemetery, Kilgore.
Mr. Finley passed away December 3, 2013 in Athens.
He was born May 29, 1933 in Marshall to the late James Paul and Martha Ellen Hatton Finley. Mr. Finley had lived 20 years in Minden, Louisiana but spent the past 25 years as a resident of Athens. He drove for the Athens Independent School district and all his riders loved him very much and he loved his children. He had been a deacon and member of Eastern Hills Church of Christ over 10 years.
Mr. Finley was preceded in death by his parents and son Cary Hugh Finley on December 22, 2009.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years Glenda Finley, Athens; sons Alan Finley and wife Connie, Terry Finley and wife Charlotte, both of Minden, Louisiana; daughter Trena Cook and husband James, Malakoff; 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, brothers Charles Finley and wife Katherine, Tommy Finley and wife Linda, both of Marshall.
Pallbearers will be Alan Finley, Ronnie Finley, Clayton Cook, Bryan Cook, John Boyle, Shannon Finley.
Visitation for family and friends will be 5-7 P M Wednesday at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eastern Hills Church of Christ, 1200 East Corsicana Street, Athens, Texas 75751.
