A LEGAND for sure, Hervy will be admired for generations to come by those of us that had the pleasure of meeting him and those that will hear the tales of his times here on earth. His legacy will be the contributions he made to society and to the environment. Hervy prided himself in practicing the Golden Rule, loving and honoring his wife and family, and dearly caring for his animals. He became a friend to most everyone he met. Regardless of their stature, their financial, political, or social position (while beit he might have an opinion)Herve would chat with you and you would leave the conversation better educated and most likely, laughing or amazed! Hervy's contribution to the environment is priceless. He truly cared for the woods and the impact that more modern "toys" had on the forest. KUDOS to him for using his low impact toys..his oxen as much as he did. We believe the biggest impact he left was that of winning the hearts and minds of a crowd at an ox pull or fair. We'd venture to say that he got more standing ovations from crowds than most of the rest of us ox teamsters, COMBINED! People loved the way he drove and treated his animals. We all are indebted to him for setting standards that are worthy of following!! We sooo enjoyed the tour of your stock trailer-turned-home, especially the wood stove... very welcoming on a cold & wet Fryeburg day. RIP dear Hervy. Say "Hi" to "Coach" Bob Eastman, Leon, Duane and all the other teamsters in Heaven for us. We can hear the stories now!
