Condolence: Dear Marie, Jimmy and families, Such deep sympathy on your Father's passing. Hervy and Rose treated us like family for nearly 40 years. What a great guy, such a wonderful character and always the gentleman. He loved to eat and Rose loved to cook. We still enjoy her Cabbage Soup and her homemade pickles were delicious. What a legacy they both leave their loved ones. God Bless !

Condolence: A LEGAND for sure, Hervy will be admired for generations to come by those of us that had the pleasure of meeting him and those that will hear the tales of his times here on earth. His legacy will be the contributions he made to society and to the environment. Hervy prided himself in practicing the Golden Rule, loving and honoring his wife and family, and dearly caring for his animals. He became a friend to most everyone he met. Regardless of their stature, their financial, political, or social position (while beit he might have an opinion)Herve would chat with you and you would leave the conversation better educated and most likely, laughing or amazed! Hervy's contribution to the environment is priceless. He truly cared for the woods and the impact that more modern "toys" had on the forest. KUDOS to him for using his low impact toys..his oxen as much as he did. We believe the biggest impact he left was that of winning the hearts and minds of a crowd at an ox pull or fair. We'd venture to say that he got more standing ovations from crowds than most of the rest of us ox teamsters, COMBINED! People loved the way he drove and treated his animals. We all are indebted to him for setting standards that are worthy of following!! We sooo enjoyed the tour of your stock trailer-turned-home, especially the wood stove... very welcoming on a cold & wet Fryeburg day. RIP dear Hervy. Say "Hi" to "Coach" Bob Eastman, Leon, Duane and all the other teamsters in Heaven for us. We can hear the stories now!

Condolence: To the Ostiguy Family: The world has lost another great man. We enjoyed knowing Hervy (and Rose) through our participation in ox pulling for the past 30+ years. In recent years we enjoyed sitting with him at the ox pull at Spencer Fair and listening to his stories. We were saddened to hear of his passing. The Bertholic Family, Mapleville, RI

Condolence: I remember going to the farm when I was in my teens watching you with the oxen and leading them around. Remember going to fairs with you, to your camp and the time we went to Nova Scotia riding in the back of your pickup and taken a Ferry from Maine over, for a week to a big fair up there. Good ole days. RIP Hervy

Condolence: Great Uncle Hervy I don't know where to start. I have many childhood memories when we stayed at your house and you letting me take your team and pull a stoneboat around your farm as well as going to the Essex Junction Vermont fair every year to watch you pull you team. I still remember my job every year was to polish all the brass on the head yoke straps and the bells you would hang around the teams neck. I also remember drinking hard cider and chewing snuff with you every year. When we would go to see you I always look foward to aunt Rose's dill pickles and La Caucka roucha soup as she called it. I only wish we lived closer so I could have spent more time with You. You were a great man and I could sit around all day with you and listen to your stories. May you and Great Aunt Rose RIP!!!

Condolence: Humble people can afford to be generous..... In Hervy, a more generous person I had never met. Along with Rose, Hervy showed me very early in my ox career that generousity from the fountain of human kindness flowed from the home on "Neath the Elm" farm. I am grateful for all he shared, and I will never forget the example he set. He set the bar high for ox teamsters, and it will long be remembered.
