Obituary for Annie Caroline Bordlemay (Fake)
Annie Caroline Fake Bordlemay, 94, of Hummelstown and formerly of Palmyra, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2016, in the Harrisburg Hospital.
Born in Annville on October 26, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Alice Strickler Fake.
Annie was a seamstress for the former Bel Mills, Palmyra, but spent most of her life caring for and spending time with her family. She was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hoernerstown. Annie was a also a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 72, Palmyra. She loved crossword puzzles and word searches. A sweet, quiet woman, Annie truly enjoyed her life and tried to live each day to the fullest.
In addition to her parents, Annie was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Bordlemay; and a daughter, Patricia A. Harnish.
Annie is survived by her daughters, Karen J. Longenecker wife of Robert, and Cathy A. Pelino wife of Dominic; two sisters, Grace Gibble and Dorothy Mae Uhrich; six grandchildren, Andrea L.P. Zimmerman wife of Philip, Anthony J. Pelino, Angela Marr, Robert Longenecker, Jr. husband of Cathy, Kim Felty wife of Randy, and Gigi Johnson; and several generations of great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 22, 2016, at 11 AM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with The Rev. Martha S. Boyd, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra. Friends will be received for a viewing on Thursday in the funeral home from 10 AM until time of the services.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 158 Hoernerstown Road, Hummelstown, PA 17036.
