Bob Matthews
Dear Ron's family, please accept my deepest sympathies during this very sad time with the passing of a great lad who not only worked with many of us from the Trek America/Trek Europa days, he was always there for everyone outside of the workplace. Ron and I did a couple of personal trips together and I have great memories of our time in Scotland when we tried to escape the clutches of the hostel warden in a quest to access the other side of the building where the women were waiting for us. Needless to say we spent all night giggling, so not too disappointed. Another adventure with Ron was to Hawaii, we did some fantastic hikes and saw a lot more than most while visiting many of the islands. I managed to catch up with Ron again while he was in convalescence in LA after the incident which thankfully Scott Rohr was able to get help to him just in time. Ron was a very dear friend to me and the same to many others, much like all the crew who work for Trek America, past and present, they look out for each other and that strength gives us all something special. To Ron, you will always be missed mate and your family should be very proud of the friendship and warmth you gave to everyone of us.
One of your traveling friends,
Bob
