Robert “Bob” O’Donnell, 75, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2014 in Carney, Oklahoma. His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 4 at the Carney High School Gym. Interment will follow at Perkins Cemetery, Perkins, Oklahoma. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Bob was born on October 3, 1938 to Laurl Cypret and Charles O’Donnell in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He graduated from Stillwater High School and was a member of their 1957 State Championship Baseball Team playing third base. He was a construction plumber for 50 years and belonged to the Plumber and Pipefitters Local 344. He was a member of the Tryon Assembly of God.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Laurl and Charles O’Donnell; sister, Karen Kay and brother, Charles.
Bob is survived by spouse, Linda O’Donnell; children, Tammy O’Donnell, Bobby O’Donnell, Karen Vandegrift and husband Jim, Mickey O’Donnell and wife Alicia; grandchildren Charlie O’Donnell and wife Mattie, Laura Beth Caley and husband Christopher, Robby O’Donnell, Ryan O’Donnell, Randee O’Donnell and Taylor O’Donnell; mother of his children, Beulah O’Donnell; brothers, Ted, Tim and James O’Donnell; great-grandchildren Cayson Jagger O’Donnell, Wyatt Higgins, Jayden Jo Caley and Ky’lee O’Donnell.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Caley, Ted Hover, Frank Lopez, Teddy O’Donnell, Tommy O’Donnell and Jerry Cartwright.
