Gary E. Martin, age 65, of 112 Bloomingdale Ave., Saranac Lake, died Thursday, July 31, 2014.

Born in Saranac Lake, New York on June 05, 1949, he was the son of Emery and Irene (Pebbler) Martin.

Gary was a life long resident of Saranac Lake and had been employed by the Village of Saranac Lake for over 29 years until his retirement in 2012. He is a veteran of the United States Navy serving from 1968 to 1971.

He is survived by one son Michael Martin of Ravena, NY, his mother Irene Martin of Saranac Lake, two brothers Robert Martin and his wife Maureen of Rochester, David Martin and his wife Therese of Saranac Lake, his former wife Lynn Martin of Saranac Lake, close friend and companion Mya Duprey of Lake Clear and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on , Wednesday August 6, 2014 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A funeral service will immediately follow at the funeral home at 3:00 P.M., with Rev. Patrick Ratigan officiating. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery in Saranac Lake.
