Evelyn V. Norman, 79, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, June 11, 2008 in Scio.

Evelyn was born Nov. 27, 1928 in Portland, Oregon the daughter of Fred and Adora (Alspaugh) Luethie. She was raised in Portland attending Rose City Park Grade School and Grant High School. She went on to graduate from Lewis and Clark College with a Bachelors Degree in Business in 1952.

Evelyn then went to work for Mutual Life of New York Insurance Co. She retired after 25 years of employment. Evelyn married Donald Norman on March 12, 1977 in Portland, OR. They settled in Lebanon and have resided here since that time.

She is survived by her husband Donald of Lebanon, sister Irma Markel of Portland and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, June 14, at Huston-Jost Funeral Home. Private burial will be at the Lebanon I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
