Obituary for
Frederick A. Martone
FRAMINGHAM Frederick A. Martone, 81, a resident of Framingham for 52 years, died Tues. Feb. 10, 2015 after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Jacqueline L. (Martus) Martone of Framingham, with whom he shared 55 years of marriage.
Born in Cambridge, he was the son of the late Frederick A. Martone, Sr. and the late Mary (Sarno) Martone. A graduate of Cambridge Latin High School in 1953, he attended Suffolk University before enlisting in the US Army, serving from 1954-1956. He worked for many years in sales as a manufacturer's rep for candy producers until opening his own business, Martone Enterprises, before retiring. A member of the Ashland VFW, he was a big supporter of Framingham Youth Hockey.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 sons: Bradd Martone & wife Susan of Mendon, and Andrew Martone & wife Carolyn of Hopkinton; 2 grandchildren: Paul and Jack Martone of Hopkinton; a sister: Marie Malangone of Holliston and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by siblings: Ernest, James, John, Anna and Mildred.
Private services will be held at a later date. There are no public visiting hours. The family suggests in lieu of flowers that donations be made in his name to a charity of the donor's choice.
