I got to know Jerry back around 2007 when I helped for a short time with his website, jerrypippin.com. In my dealings with him, Jerry was always an amiable gentleman with a good sense of humor. Unlike so many of the younger breed who pick up a microphone and start chirping into it and think they're radio hosts, Jerry Pippin was the genuine article. He was a broadcasting veteran who had worked everywhere you could think of. His experience was first-rate, and you could tell he was a full three-dimensional human being. He had a full life, but one cannot help but think he was taken from us too soon.
