Obituary for Judith F. Smith

Judith Fern Smith, of Sheffield, Texas went home to be with Our Lord, September 27, 2018. She was born December 29, 1941 to R.G. and Rubye Davis.
Judy spent her life as a Mother and homemaker. She also worked in the public and retired after
many years with Pecos County, Commissioners Office, Precinct 3. She was a Baptist and was devoted to her family and friends. She showed God’s love to everyone, especially in times of need. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness to others. Her “therapy” was working in her beautiful yard. She enjoyed looking for arrowheads, rocks and artifacts. She was a beloved sister, Mother, Nana, Aunt and loved by so many people.
She is survived by her two sisters, Brenda Pitts of Artesia New Mexico, Gay Brooks and Dan Hall of Brady, Texas. She is also survived by her two sons, Curtis Smith and Mellie Bernal of Sheffield; Hal and Linda Smith of Scottsdale, Arizona. She is preceeded in death by her infant son, Gregory Lynn. Three grandchildren Pennie and Nick Hooker of Jacksonville, Texas, Lucas and Amy Smith, also of Jacksonville, Natalie Smith and Max Kruger of Arizona. Four great grandchildren, Brookyln, Braden, Brylee Hooker and Caseton Smith. She is preceded in death by Kensington Smith.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 2pm the Boy Scout Hut In Iraan Park, Iraan, Texas.
Scott Owens, Hospice Chaplain and Pastor of Northside Baptist Church in Fort Stockton will officiate.
