Minnie N. Keener, 96, formerly of 41 Church Street passed away Thursday (May 21, 2015) at the Lutheran Home at Kane.
Born February 4, 1919, in Hastings, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Esther Walters Rodgers.
Mrs. Keener had lived in Kellettville until 1936; Tionesta for nine years; and later in Sheffield and Russell; however, she lived most of her married life in Ludlow.
She had worked as a waitress in several locations and had been employed at various times as a private caregiver; and by Solar Electric in Warren, North Warren State Hospital and Houston Electronics in Kane.
Mrs. Keener attended the Mission Covenant Church in Ludlow. She was a member of the VFW of Kane, Wildcat Park Auxiliary, the Ludlow Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and served as a volunteer at the Lutheran Home at Kane.
Surviving are a son, Theodore "Ted" (Donna) Allio of Sitka, AK; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a brother, Albert (Leatrice) Rodgers of Ridgeville, SC; a daughter-in-law Barbara Allio of Tionesta ; and a stepdaughter,Susan (Thomas) Kerchensky of Avonmore.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Allen Lee Allio, Clinton Henry and George Keener; a son, Lee Rodger Allio; three brothers, Waid ,Wayne and John Rodgers; a sister, Marie Maxwell; a great-granddaughter, Aurora Lee Ryan Allio; and a son-in-law, Frank Bernat.
Friends will be received at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon at which time funeral services will be held, with the Rev. Albert Maxwell, officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
