Marion McCullough, 89, of Wallace, went to his Heavenly Home early Friday morning, November 17, 2017 at the Genesis Healthcare Facility in Salem.
He was born on June 7, 1928 in Brown a son of the late Albin and Pearl Schoolcraft McCullough.
Marion is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Coburn McCullough whom he married July 8, 2000.
He is also survived by his son, Marion “Eddie” McCullough of Lumberport; his daughter, Kathy Baron and her husband Mike of Wheeling; his step-son, Darrick McCullough and his wife LaShelle of Wallace; two step-daughters, Ardene Ash and husband Dannie of Folsom; and Robin Ribera of Wallace; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Marion was preceded in death by two sons, Larry and Kevin McCullough; grandson, Joseph Baron; his twin sister, Mary Lee McCullough; his sister, Shelby McCullough Gifford; as well as his brother, Dorsey McCullough.
Marion was a coal miner at various mines and was a member of the United Mine Workers of America. He was also a member of the Rinehart Community Church. Marion loved to go hunting and fishing.
The family will receive friends at Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S Pike St. Shinnston, on Tuesday from 2-7 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 22nd at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jeff Burnside officiating. Interment will follow at the Brown Cemetery.
