Obituary for Honor E Calland (Calland)

Seneca Falls – Honor E. “Annie” Calland, 86 of Seneca Falls, NY, passed away, unexpectedly, on Wednesday (March 1, 2017) at Rochester General Hospital, Rochester, NY.

Family and friends may attend a graveside service for Honor on Wednesday (March 8) at 11:30 AM at St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls. There will be no prior calling hours. If desired, contributions may be made to House of Concern, 35 State St., Seneca Falls, NY 13148.

Honor was born in Seneca Falls, NY on March 23, 1930 the daughter of the late Homer & Pauline Maramack Calland. She was a life resident of Seneca Falls and was retired, after 30 years of service, from GTE-Sylvania of Seneca Falls where she was Personnel Clerk. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Seneca Falls, the Seneca Falls Historical Society, the Quarter Century Club of GTE-Sylvania of Seneca Falls, & had been a volunteer for the Seneca Falls Red Cross. Honor was a huge Syracuse University Basketball Fan.

She is survived by:
1 niece – Mary (Craig King) Greenblatt – Rochester, NY
1 nephew – John D. (Cheryl) Lavery – Livonia, NY
Her grand niece and nephews: Michael Greenblatt & Meghan & Brendan Lavery
In addition to her parents, Honor was predeceased by 1 sister, Mary Jane Lavery who died in 1989, 1 brother, Jack Calland who died in 1957, & 1 nephew, Robert Greenblatt who died in 2003.
Arrangements are under the direction of Doran Funeral Home, Seneca Falls, NY.
