Richard W  Esselen Jr.
WESTWOOD- Richard William Esselen Jr. 29 - passed away on December 14, 2015 at his family home in Westwood, MA. He was born in Boston and was the third child, and the only son of Richard William Esselen,
Sr. and Dianne Szczurko.

Rich graduated Blue Hills Regional Technical High School as an auto body technician. He also attended Massachusetts Bay Community College. His passion in life was special interest cars, which he repaired and restored. Rich truly loved his old cars and trucks. He had natural ability that allowed him to make a living doing something he was passionate about. His work was appreciated by all. He will truly be missed. He also enjoyed spending time with his many friends and spoke frequently of his trips to Cape Cod, as well as to Central and Western Mass. He was able to engage most anyone in conversation, which made it very easy for him to meet people. He was friendly and always willing to help. He spent much of his free time assisting others and offering his help any way he could.

Richard is survived by his parents Richard Esselen Sr and Dianne Szczurko of Westwood; his sisters, Sandra Esselen and her husband Michael Higgins of Bellingham and Cheryl Esselen of Westwood; his nieces Katherine Higgins, Charlotte Higgins, and Elizabeth Higgins.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 22,20152 with a Mass at 11:00AM inSt Josephs Church 296 N. Main St. followed by burial in Walnut Grove cemetery all in North Brookfield, MA.
