Rev. Ed Hubbard, age 63, longtime minister and educator in Madison County, died Friday February 16, 2018 at his home in Georgetown, Kentucky, surrounded by his wife and close friends and family. Ed was born in Metcalfe County to the late Belvidere and Dorothy Romines Hubbard; he was the former pastor at White Lick Baptist Church and had been an educator at Madison County Schools. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Belvidere and Dorothy Hubbard; three infant children; a sister, Ramona McCubbins; brothers-in-law, Dewey Fields and Charles England; and sister-in-law Ruth Hubbard.
Ed is survived by his wife Connie Durett Hubbard; his brothers, Jimmy and Johnnie Hubbard, both of Edmonton; his sisters, Carolyn England, of Columbus, IN, and June Fields, of Edmonton; and a brother-in-law John McCubbins of Horse Cave, KY.
Funeral services will be Sunday, February 18, 2018 at 7:00 PM at the Gano Baptist Church, 212 Bevins Lane, Georgetown, KY, with Bro. Mike Ryan and Pastor Rob Muncy officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Gano Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Pink Ridge Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Gideon’s International or The Bluegrass Care Navigators.
