Obituary for Betty Jean Walden (Walden)

Betty Jean  Walden (Walden)
Betty Jean Walden age 80 of Mt. Vernon died Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Baptist Health in Lexington.
Miss Walden was a native of Rockcastle County and a member of the Scaffold Cane Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late William and Cordelia Ramsey Walden.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by one daughter Valerie Walden, two grandsons Randall Grant and Robert Grant, six brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by two sons, Robert (Bonnie) Walden of Richmond, Brian Walden of Mt. Vernon; two daughters, Victoria (Randall) Grant of Richmond and Glenda Walden of Mt. Vernon; two grandsons, Brian Walden, Jr. and Zachary Grant; one granddaughter Brittany Walden; and one great grandson Kolby Walden.
Funeral services will be 11am Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Gerald Powell officiating. Burial will follow in the Pennington Cemetery in Wildie. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6-9 pm at the funeral home.
Active pallbearers will be Randall Grant, Zach Grant, Jimmy Alexander, Greg Sutton, Jeff Thacker and Bill Jack Carpenter.
