Mildred ‘Midge’ Ammons age 92, wife of the late John Ammons, died Monday Sept. 18, 2017 at the Terrace Nursing Facility in Berea. Mildred was a Bookkeeper for the family business, Ammons Oil Company, and she loved doing crafts, baking, weaving baskets, and making Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls for family and friends, she also attended the Methodist Church. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents William Wallace and Rosa House Gardner, and her siblings Marjorie Irwin and Bill Gardner. She is survived by her son Keith (Robin) Ammons and step granddaughter Rachel Devere.
Graveside funeral services will be Thursday Sept. 21, 2017 at 1 pm at the Grandview Cemetery in Maryville, TN. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Midge Ammons. Online condolences at www.lakesfuneralhome.com.
