Condolence From: Larry and Carolyn Caldwell
Condolence: Carolyn and I are so very sorry for your loss. Mavis was a good engineer and a kind and caring person. He was a great conservationist who was instrumental in leading Oklahoma and the nation in the USDA watershed program. One of Mavis's legacies is how he “made a difference” in the life of many Oklahomans by working as a SCS construction engineer throughout his entire career constructing flood control dams across the state. During his career more than 1,650 of the 2,100 flood control dams in Oklahoma were constructed. Mavis was involved in a lot of them. These dams will protect communities for generations to come. I consider it an honor to have worked with Mavis. Your family is in our prayers.

Condolence: I am so sad by the news. I am also so happy I had the opportunity to bring dad (Wayne) for a visit. I will look at the photos often and think of the two brothers sharing visits, breakfasts and salmon. My heart and prayers will be with you during this time. Know you are loved. Billie and Michael

Condolence: Dear Wilene and Family -

We are very sorry for your loss. We can only imagine the discussions going on in Heaven between Mavis and dad (Max) about upstream flood control structures and probably a contractor or two. Please know with his work he made a big difference for lots of communities and made this a better place. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
