Obituary for Gezina 'Sien' Maria "Sien" Eikens (Mensen)

EIKENS, Gezina "Sien" nee Mensen, passed away peacefully at home on Monday April 4th, 2016 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late Henry Eikens. Cherished mother of Henry (Christina), John (Colleen), Cindy (Randy) and predeceased by her daughter Matilda. Loving Oma to Joshua (Leanne), Hayley (Lucas), Sevanah, Larissa, Phelan, Derek and Kaitlyn. The family wished to extend a special thank you to Cardinal Nannies for all of their care and support over the past few years. A heart-felt thank you goes out to the community, friends and family for all of the visits and time spent with Sien. Friends and family are invited to gather at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church (214 King Ave. E., Newcastle, ON.) on Friday April 8th for a mass at 12:00 pm with memorial visitation one hour prior, reception to follow at the church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Francis of Assisi or The Canadian Cancer Society.
