Condolence From: Joe Steenson
Condolence: I first met Blaine in 1975 when I was hired by the Derry Township Police Department. I had moved from Delaware and knew few people in the area and felt somewhat like a fish out of water. Shortly after starting with DTPD, Blaine and his wife Ginny invited me to their home for dinner and made me feel welcome to both the Department and the town. I never forgot that act of kindness and became friends with Blaine and subsequently worked with him for the next 21 years until he retired. Blaine was a fine man and a fine Police Officer with a heart of gold. He was very kind and helped a lot of people including me over the years. He will be missed. My deepest condolences to both Ginny and her family ... you will all be in my prayers.
