Carl Eugene  Kinkade
Carl “Gene” Kinkade passed from this life May 13, 2016.
Carl was born and raised in Stillwater, OK. After school he enlisted in the Army where he worked as a mechanic. Once discharged in 1947 he returned to Stillwater and married Mary Crawford on September 7, 1947.
Carl was a jack-of-all-trades. He started as a farmer, moved to auto repair, and finally construction. His reputation was “He could take any old thing and make it work”. Professionally, he built Kinkade’s Automotive, Kinkade’s Construction Company and Kinkade’s Small Motors.
He loved to travel, fish, boat, ski and laugh a lot. He was a member of the Church of God, American Legion, Carpenter’s Union, and several nonprofit organizations.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Minerva Kinkade. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mary Kinkade, daughters Linda Maddux of Texas, and Elaine Blair and husband Bob of Perkins, grandchildren: Cody Blair of Sand Springs, Christy Cluck of Stillwater, Beegee and Geoff Maddux of Texas, and several great grandchildren: Kristopher, Samuel, Elizabeth, and Will Maddux of Texas, Ashton and Haley Cluck of Stillwater, and Shayla, Megan, Carly and Brie Blair of Sand Springs Oklahoma.
