Obituary for Richard P. Pelletier Sr.
Richard P. Pelletier Sr., 82, of Middletown, entered into eternal rest on December 8, 2017 at the Middletown Home.
He was born on January 8, 1935 in Salem, MA, and was the son of the late Arthur and Marie (Sauve) Pelletier.
Richard was retired from the US Air Force, serving for over 20 years. He was a member of the Middletown First Church of God, the American Legion post 594, Moose Lodge 410, and the VFW Post 1620, all of Middletown. In addition to his retirement from the Air Force, Richard worked numerous different places in maintenance.
He enjoyed bowling and watching sports, especially the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his two sisters and six brothers.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Goldie M. (Young) Pelletier; two sons, Richard P. Pelletier Jr. and his wife Lou Ann of Middletown and Robert P. Pelletier of Middletown; three grandchildren, Cara Pelletier of CO, Seth Pelletier and his wife, Nicole, of Elizabethtown, and Cora Pelletier of MD; two great-grandchildren, Sage and Brice Pelletier, and a brother, Henry Pelletier of CT.
A tribute to his life will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at 11:00 AM at the Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., Middletown with the Rev. Kimberly Shifler officiating. Viewing will be from 10:00 AM until the time of services, Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial with military honors will be held in the Middletown Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association Greater Pennsylvania, 2595 Interstate Dr., Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
