Life Story for Mary Ann Konrad
Konrad, Mary Ann, age 74, a resident of Brewster, NY, died Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at White Plains Hospital surrounded by her family.
Mary Ann was born on January 1, 1942 in Port Chester, NY to Joseph and Sarah (Greer) Rich. She graduated from Port Chester High School in 1959.
Mrs. Konrad married the love of her life, Joseph W. Konrad on June 30, 1982 in Rye, NY. Following their wedding they moved to Brewster, NY.
Mary Ann was a traffic manager with Avitron in Rye, NY, before continuing her career at Jelenko in Armonk, NY. She retired from Jelenko in 2006.
Mrs. Konrad enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading and rides in the country. Her greatest passion in life was her family and her grandchildren.
Besides her husband Joseph of 34 years, Mary Ann is survived by her four children; David Summa of Pawling, NY, Christopher Summa of Port Chester, NY, Marc Summa of Port Chester, NY and Jennifer Vitiello of Mahopac, NY, her step daughter Lisa Konrad of Harrison, NY, her brother Joseph Rich of San Antonio, FL and her six grandchildren; Nick, Sara, Leah, Evelyn, Hunter and Taylor Ann.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 7:15pm at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, during her wake. Friends may call Beecher Funeral Home on Saturday September 17th from 4pm-8pm. Interment will be private. www.Beecherfuneralhome.com
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to th Putname Humane Society, Carmel, NY.
