Albert Frederick Kastens Jr.
On November 24, 2016, Albert Frederick Kastens, Jr. 90 of Ludell, Kansas joyfully went to meet his Lord as he passed away at the Cambridge Manor in Cambridge, NE.

He was born May 27, 1926 in Rawlins County, Kansas to Albert F. and Marie Louise (Carstens) Kastens. He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church of rural Ludell and attended Trinity Lutheran Parochial School through the 8th grade. Albert held many positions of leadership at Trinity Lutheran Church of Ludell and an active member of Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church of Atwood. He enjoyed studying his Bible, singing German hymns and playing dominos and pitch. He was a Godly man and set a positive example for his children and grandchildren. Every child and grandchild was lovingly bounced on his knee as he sang German folk songs. His detailed stories about the old days were enjoyed by all and will be greatly missed.

Preceding him in death were his wife Arlene, son Mark Kastens, granddaughter Stacey Kastens and sisters Lucile Wicke, Esther Riekenberg, Edna Wicke, Doris Hays, Irene Kastens and Louise Rice.

He is survived by his sons, Stan and special friend, Debra of Victor, MT, Steve and wife, Laurie of Ludell, daughter, Neva and husband Mike Manker of Indianola, NE, son, Joel and wife Tricia of Lebanon, TN; grandchildren, Lacey (Manker) Snoke, Lance Manker, Lanay (Manker) Riley, Caleb Kastens, Elijah Kastens, and Bria Kastens; great grandchildren, Remington Snoke, Weston Snoke, Baize Kastens, and Stone Riley and step-granddaughter Emily Kastens; also sisters Joyce Domsch and Anita Focke, sister-in-law Ramona Gnann of FL and brother-in-law Louis “Buzzy” Samson of Atwood and many nieces, nephews and friends.
