Condolence: My heartfelt condolences go out to Mona’s family and friends at this very sad time. I was honoured to be a member of Mona’s RBC extended family.
Mona had many stops along her “train ride of life.” Although some stops were not as she had planned, she took them in stride with support from many and moved onto the next one with enthusiasm and excitement. Along the way she left us with many fond memories to cherish. Her train has made its final stop where our Angel will be greeted and re-united with those who have gone before her.
RIP Mona, you will be deeply missed…

Condolence: Mona was very supportive, thoughtful and generous as a colleague, a person and a friend. Although strong, it was her kindness and grace that always touched my heart. My life has been enriched for having known her. My heartfelt condolences to all Mona’s family and friends.

Condolence: Mona was my Aunt, but more than that, she became like another mother to me and Ricky. Mona was kind enough to welcome myself and my partner Ricky into her home for two years while we attended school in Winnipeg. I was always close with Mona, I have fond memories of our time spent at her house in Regina with her and the boys. I was always so excited to visit her and spend time together. I was lucky enough to become much closer during the time we lived together. I no longer seen my Aunt from a child's perspective and she became my friend, confidant and one of my biggest supporters. Having Mona at my Social Work graduation meant so much to me. We had countless chats, laughs and crib games together. Mona was one of the most generous and caring individual's I know. When my dad passed, she stepped up for us all and was my Mom's biggest supporter. She was strong, independent and loving. She had a passion for her career, her family and her friends. Mona was one of the hardest working individual's I know, she worked right until the point she no longer could not because she had to but because she simply loved her job. She was always the first to host and have those close to her over to her home. We had so many wonderful suppers there and spent many evenings on the deck. I cannot begin to describe how I will miss even a simple conversation with Mona, catching up from the day or just sitting quietly together enjoying breakfast. I could never repay Mona for how she helped us out and I will never forget it. She was truly a survivor with a beautiful soul. It's so unfortunate Mona was taken so young from us all but if I know Mona, I know she is playing cards with Dad and Grandma as we speak, determined to win. We love you Mona and you will be missed more than we could ever express.
