Bernard Allen, Sr.
Age 61, of Montour Falls, died November 28, 2016. The family will receive friends at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen, on Tuesday (Dec. 6th) from 12pm-1pm; followed by a funeral service at 1pm at the funeral home and burial at Montour Cemetery. Dish to pass dinner will be held at the First Baptist Church in Montour Falls after cemetery service. He is survived by his companion of 24 years, Nancy Campell; children, Bernard Allen, Jr. of Watkins Glen and Shelly (Mark) Parker of Corning, and their mother Cheryl Allen of Odessa; step-children, Jeffrey Wright, Lodi, Robert (Beth) Campbell, Odessa, Cindy (Durfey), Alpine, NY; mother, Estellene Allen of Montour Falls; brother, Robert (Lori) Allen of Montour Falls; sister, Nancy Allen of Montour Falls; 4 grandchildren; and 7 step grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father, Harold B. Allen; brother, Henry Allen; and granddaughter, Sierra Parker. Bernie graduated from Watkins Glen High School in 1973 and enlisted in the United States Navy. After the Navy he worked as a self employed contractor.
