Obituary for Janice E. Hamilton (Pavone)
Janice E. Pavone Hamilton, 71, of Hummelstown, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2017, in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center with her loving family by her side.
Born in Hershey on August 2, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Anthony Pavone and Mae Romaine Ishler Alleman.
Janice worked in the financial management office at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. She was a graduate of Lebanon Catholic High School. Janice enjoyed going to the beach with her family, especially Ocean City, MD, her cats, and traveling with her family. Her greatest passion and love was her family; she truly lived for her children, grandchildren, and great grandson.
Janice is survived by her children, Lisa A. Stewart fiancée of Dr. Rodger Rothenberger and Anthony D. Stewart, both of Lebanon, and Jason M. Stewart of Hummelstown; her sisters, Jacqueline M. Purvis wife of George P. of Marco Island, FL, and Anne L. Pavone partner of Karen Petroski of Norristown; grandchildren, Alissa Dull, Isabella Miller, Anthony Stewart, Jr., and Noah Stewart; great grandson, Hunter Gerdes; and two special kitties, Riley and Bear.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at 11 AM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with Deacon Richard W. Wentzel, officiating. Interment will be in Hershey Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family in the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 AM until time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes to have memorial contributions made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; please write “Janice Hamilton Memorial” in the memo line. You may also make a donation online under Janice’s name at www.stjude.org.
