James Stanley Archer, 64, of Athens, passed away Monday, January 1, 2017.
Born in Athens, he was the son of the late George Archer and Florence Strickland Williams. Mr. Archer was an entrepreneur. He enjoyed Georgia football, and most importantly, spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his children, Yvette Snow, Alana Wingo, Aleisha Forer, Berkeley Tuck and Zachry Archer; one brother, Tommy Archer; one sister, Lisa Leighton; ten grandchildren and one grandchild on the way.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 6, 2017 at 11:00 am at Moon’s Grove Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
