SURNOSKIE, Lucy of Killaloe, passed away peacefully in her home, on January 2, 2018 in her 81st year. Lucy truly lived her life in service of others. She was a loving wife and dedicated caregiver to her husband Michael of 61 years. She taught her children to be kind, resourceful, and hardworking, and her grandchildren to make crafts, garden, cook, and play cards. Friends and neighbours were always welcomed in her home and at her table. She was also an active member of St. Andrew's Parish, Killaloe. She will be dearly remembered and greatly missed by her husband, Michael, her sister Alice Shalla, brother Benny Etmanskie, her children Brent (Donna), Glenn, Linda, and Jane (Jim), her grandchildren Adam (Sarah), Neil (Sarah), Eric, Kyle, Amber, Kara, and Lance, and her great-grandchildren, Madison and Lucas.

Visitation will be at Zohr Family Funeral Home, Killaloe on Thursday, January 4, 2017 from 7-9pm and Friday beginning at 9:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, Killaloe on Friday at 11am. Those desiring may make donations in memory of Lucy to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation.
