Obituary for Gerald A "Jerry" Prizio

EAST BROOKFIELD- Gerald A. Prizio, 100, son of Gabriel and Allesandrina (Varone) Prizio, died Tuesday,January 24,2017.

Gerald is predeceased by sisters,Melvina,Louise,Mary,Lena,Sylvia and Claire; brothers Philip,William ,Ferdinand ,and Raymond. Jerry,as everyone knew him, is also predeceased by good friend Donald Taylor. He leaves many nieces and nephews.

A graduate of David Prouty High School,class of 1933,Jerry retired from the Veterans Administration at the age of 82. He worked in Panama ,Washington,D.C. and Jamaica Plain. Jerry was ever the gentleman,smartly dressed and proper. He enjoyed traveling with his good friend Don,evenings at the Boston Symphony, and volunteering at the Boston Public Library. Jerry was a man of deep faith. Although Jerry worked away, he always returned to the home of his family where generations of family and friends have gathered for over ninety years. He will be missed. Rest in peace Uncle Jerry.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, February 1,2017 with a Mass at 11:00AM in St.John the Baptist Church North Brookfield Rd. East Brookfield. Burial will follow in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery in Spencer.
