Rexford Thomas Byrne of Medford, Oregon passed away January 5, 2017 in Medford. Rex was born July 16, 1951 in Oakland, California to John Lee Byrne and Margie Ann O'Donnell. Rex attended Wooster High School in Reno, Nevada where he was an athletic wild man. He worked as a drywall finisher in the Rogue Valley for over 30 years. Rex was an avid reader; a lover of music; and was a softball and baseball fanatic, which he enjoyed with his grandchildren.Rex is survived by his daughter, Audra Byrne (Travis Drysdale); son, Issac Byrne; and grandchildren, Hannah and River Drysdale. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother.Memorial services will be held at noon January 28, 2017 at 525 Bigham Knoll Dr., Jacksonville, Ore. Memorial contributions may be made in Rex's name to Medford American Little League.
