I met John in Egypt in 1976. He seemed to be lost in downtown Cairo and my cousin and I happily showed him around. I brought him home to meet my family and we have been great friends ever since. But mostly John has been a father figure to me. I lost my birth father in 1988 and today I feel as if I lost my father all over again. My family and I will miss him dearly.
