Obituary for Sylvia Jane Fidelak
With profound sadness the family announces the passing of Sylvia on January 30th 2017 at St. Boniface Hospital.
She passed peacefully surrounded by family. She was predeceased by her parents Annie and William, husband Richard, sisters Elizabeth and Lillian, brothers-in-law Robert, Mike and Bill, and step-daughter Jenny. She is survived by her loving partner John Hayhow, children Jason and Jenn Fidelak, step children Mike Hayhow (Lesley), Jackie Hayhow, step granddaughter Jessica Hayhow, sisters Joyce Budzey (Fred), Lorraine Marynowski, Beatrice Dykun (Orest), brother in law Donald Fidelak (Pauline), sisters-in-law Margie Fidelak and Donna Fidelak, brother in law Glenn Fidelak (Janice) and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Sylvia was born in Vita MB on March 25, 1946. She married Richard in 1967 and raised two children in the Weston neighbourhood in Winnipeg. After Richard passed in 1991, she met the second love of her life John in 1997 and they settled in Anola MB in 2004, where she lived until her passing.
A celebration of her life will be held Tuesday February 7, 2017 at 1pm at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue (across from Brookside Cemetery). Interment will follow at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Boniface Hospital Foundation, Cardiac Care Unit. She will be sadly missed and forever in our hearts.
