Obituary for
Adelaide C. Skop (Czech)
SCOTIA Adelaide Czech Skop formerly of Waterford died Friday January 20, 2017 at Baptist Health Nursing Center. Born in Malta she was the daughter of the late Philip and Mary A. Koshiba Czech.
She was educated in Cohoes schools and moved to Waterford in 1950. Adelaide had been employed as a Principal Stenographer with the New York State Department of Labor in Albany and retired in 1991. She was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church in Cohoes.
Her greatest state in life was as a loving wife , mother, and grandmother – a “Proverbs 31 woman,” who was greatly loved by her family. She was the widow of William J. Skop who died in 2003 and is the mother of Patricia A. Hopper of Burnt Hills. She is the sister of the late Michael, William, and Jean Czech, grandmother of Sharon P. Meadows (Jeremiah) of Reno, NV and Brendan T. Hopper presently of Chiba, Japan and great grandmother of Trent H. Meadows. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A Memorial Service will be held at a date to be announced and interment will be in Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery beside Bill, the love of her life.

Much thanks and appreciation goes out to the S2 Unit staff and attending social worker at Baptist Health for their loving and compassionate care, especially during Adelaide’s last days.
