Condolence: I was shocked when I heard of Dave's passing. Sharon, my sister-in-law called me and broke the news. Dave was Lloyd's best friend and we knew of his illness. Sharon advised against telling Dave that Lloyd had died thinking that it would just add to his burden.
Dave often told me that it was difficult to imagine Lloyd and me as being brothers while having such different personalities. In retrospect I understand his comment although the differences had no effect on our fraternal bond.
I often think of Dave and Lloyd and always will think of them as brothers in a spiritual sense.
I hope that the passing of a year has brought some degree of healing for family members and that you know others continue to care.

Condolence: My sister-in-law, Sharon, and I wish to extend our condolences to the Clarke family. Dave was my brother Lloyd's best friend. They met at Kaynor Tech. where both were enrolled in the school's drafting program and remained friends until my brother's passing five years ago.
I remember visiting with Dave at our family's home in Watertown. We would sit around the kitchen table and share our experiences often with lunch or dinner that my mother had prepared. She was a very good cook. When she passed on I stepped in with what could only be described as heated garbage. Presumably it had some nutritional value because I did survive. That was the end of the dinner meetings.
All of us will remember Dave as a good, smart man and faithful friend. He will be missed aby all who knew him.
