Obituary for Olive B. Peterson

Olive Bernice Peterson of Coventry, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 12, 2017. She was born October 2, 1929 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Alexander and Natalie (Bansleben) Haversat. She was predeceased by her husband Edwin Peterson. Olive worked as an LPN and staff supervisor for the state of CT, at Mansfield State Training School before retiring after 25 yrs. Olive was a supporting, loving mother, always giving of herself. She was a member of Veterans auxiliary, and long time member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Coventry. She enjoyed many years of camping with her late husband and always played "On the road again." by Willie Nelson. Later, she enjoyed many cruises and visits to casinos. She is survived by her daughter Susan and Clinton MacDonald of Coventry, sons Paul and Janice Peterson of Canton, GA, Ed and Lynn Peterson of Mansfield Center, and James and Diane Peterson of Chehlias, WA. Grandchildren Dawn Wilkins, Ed Peterson III, Jennifer Carney, Bethany Bennett, Alan and Christopher Gray, and great grandchildren, Justin Gray, Luke and Ryan Peterson, Kaitlynn and Kristin Bennett and Emma Carney. Memorial donations may be made to the North Coventry Volunteer Fire Department, 1755 Main Street, Coventry, CT 06238.
