Mr. Danny Lee Williams, age 67, of Griffin GA, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2017 at Spalding Regional Hospital.

Mr. Williams was born on December 22, 1949 in Greely, CO to the late Leonard and Roberta Williams. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert Williams. Mr. Williams was a veteran of the U.S. Army and proudly served his country during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church and an active volunteer of Rushton’s Hope Ministry where he devoted much of his time to caring for those in need and serving his Lord.

Mr. Williams is survived by wife of 47 plus years, Ida Sue Williams; daughter and son-in-law, Tonya and Sean Hendrix; sons and daughter-in-law, Jeremy Williams, and Chris and Kristy Williams; grandchildren, Dorian Amoson, Annaston Hendrix, Isabella Hendrix, Autumn Williams, Brooklyn Williams and Canyon Williams; sisters and brother-in-law, Marsha Blankenship and Sheryl and Scott Moore; and brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Diane Williams.

Funeral services for Mr. Danny Lee Williams will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Rev. Mark Sellers will officiate. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Gardens in Tyrone, GA. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
