Sometimes memory is hazy, can't be trusted. Othertimes, memory is so stong, there is nothing you can do but smile when it floods your mind with or often without warning. One of those memories associated with my grandmother is the phrase: "grandma didn't put her seatbelt on" (repeated in a very nasaly, sing-song fashion). Not everytime I get in my car and snap my belt in place, but almost, I can hear my sister and I repeat this phrase, and I can still see my grandmother smile that coy smile of hers, and I smile too.
