Good Food

Some of my best memories are visiting Grandma's house during the holidays.  There was always something delicious being made, but my favorite was always the baked ziti (although Artichoke Nibbles deserve special mention).  I believe the secret was in the home made sauce - it is the sauce that I judge all other sauces by.  Besides the dinners, Grandma could always be counted on to have countless snacks literally hidden away in different nooks and crannies of the house.  I remember once grilling her because she had bought cheese nips (they were on sale) and not her usual cheese-its.

When Grandma could no longer make the dinners, my mom, Aunt Janet, even Leon started to fill in.  But it was Grandma that set the style, it was Grandma that passed down the recipies, and it was Grandma that taught us all that a good meal with family should always be cherished.
